Down at Radha Krishna Estate in Aslali, we run our business out of a warehouse-style setup. It’s a busy area because of all the logistics and transport companies nearby. The estate itself is always humming with the sound of trucks reversing and workers moving crates around. Our office is just a partitioned space inside the main building where we keep the ledgers and the phones. It gets quite dusty because of the heavy traffic on the nearby roads, so we’re constantly wiping down the desks. We handle various goods and supplies, and there’s always a stack of invoices waiting to be filed. The light isn't the best in the back, but we know where everything is kept. We don't bother with corporate talk or anything like that. We just talk to the drivers and the customers in plain terms. Lunch is usually a simple tiffin brought from home, eaten while sitting on some of the sturdier boxes. The days can be long, especially when a shipment is late or the weather is particularly bad. Aslali is a bit out of the way, but it’s the right place for what we do. We’ve got a small crew of guys who have been with us for a while, and we just get on with the tasks at hand without making a fuss. It’s a hardworking environment where the main goal is just to keep the stock moving.
