Our factory is located at Plot No.4 in the Sahjanand Estate, which is right near the Gota railway crossing. You can usually tell when a train is coming because everything in the office shakes just a little bit. It’s a big space because the machinery we deal with at Koldpack is quite large. We have a lot of steel and heavy components sitting around the floor, and the smell of industrial oil is pretty much constant. It’s a hardworking environment. We spend most of our time out on the floor making sure the assembly is going right. The office part is just a small corner with a couple of desks where we handle the bills and the shipping schedules. It gets pretty dusty since we are in an industrial estate, so we are always wiping down the computers. We’ve been in Gota for a good number of years and have seen the area change a lot. We aren't big on fancy meetings or corporate talk. If there’s a problem, we just head out to the machine and figure it out right there. Most of the guys here have been working with machines their whole lives. We have a small tea stall just outside the estate gate where we usually go for a break. It’s a simple life, focused on building machines that do what they are supposed to do without any extra fuss. We keep working until the sun goes down over the tracks and the yard gets quiet.
