Kims Impex Pvt. Ltd. operates out of Pushpak Bunglow. It’s unit number 10. We are right behind Swagat Plaza in the Ambli area of Ahmedabad. It’s a bit different working from a bungalow instead of a regular office tower. It feels more private. The area around Swagat Plaza is usually busy with shoppers and cars, but once you turn into the lane for Pushpak, it gets quieter. We’ve set up our desks in the main rooms. The kitchen area is where we make our tea and lunch. It’s got a homey feel, which we like. The garden space out front is a bit overgrown, but it’s nice to look at through the windows. We don't have a big corporate sign, just a small one near the gate. Most of our work is on the phone or computer, dealing with imports and exports. The cupboards are full of samples and folders. It’s not very formal here. We don't wear suits. We just come in, do our hours, and head home. Ambli is developing fast, so there's always new construction noise nearby. But inside the bungalow, it's our own space. We don't have a fancy reception desk. If you knock, someone will eventually come to the door. It’s a simple way to run a business without the high costs of a city skyscraper. We manage our inventory and keep our records straight.
