Khodiyar Timber Mart

Khodiyar Timber Mart is located at Sahkari Lathi Bazar 1 on Jagganathji Road. If you come down this way, you’ll see it’s a place filled with wood. We have stacks of timber everywhere. The air always smells like sawdust and cut logs. It’s a very traditional timber yard. We spend our days moving heavy planks and measuring wood for different people who come by. Jagganathji Road is quite busy, and the bazar is always full of activity. We have to be careful where we stack things so we don't run out of room. The ground is usually covered in wood shavings. We don't have a fancy showroom. It’s just an open yard and some sheds where we keep the wood dry. There’s a lot of heavy lifting involved in this business. We use basic tools for cutting and marking the timber. Sometimes the weather makes it hard, like when it rains and we have to cover everything up fast. But mostly it’s just a steady routine of loading and unloading trucks. Sahkari Lathi Bazar has been around for a long time and we are just one part of it. We don't do any big marketing or anything. People just know where we are on Jagganathji Road. We just keep the wood stacked and wait for the next person to come in needing some timber for their project. It's a simple life working with your hands.
