Khodiyar Ceramics

You can find Khodiyar Ceramics at Plot No. 829 inside the Kerala G.I.D.C. estate. It is right near Bavla, which makes it easy enough to get to if you know the area. We have been here for a good while, working out of this warehouse. The place is filled with crates and stacks of tiles and ceramic pieces. It is not a shiny showroom. It is more of a working warehouse where things get moved around by forklifts all day. We usually have the doors open to let some air in because the kilns make it pretty warm inside. Most of our days are spent checking the quality of the batches coming off the line. Sometimes things do not come out perfect, so we have to sort through everything by hand. We are not trying to be the biggest company out there. We just want to make sure the people who buy from us get what they paid for. The staff here has been together for a long time, so we all know how the machines act up and how to fix them. People from Bavla and the surrounding areas often stop by to see what we have in stock for their homes. We do not do much talking; we just show them the stacks. It is a practical business. We focus on the clay and the firing process and try to keep our overheads low so the prices stay fair for everyone.
