Kharadi Interiors

We have been working out of this basement in Shreeji Complex for a good while now. It’s right near Sardar Patel Colony in Naranpura. Most people just know us as the place down the stairs where all the wood and sawdust are. We spend most of our days measuring things, cutting plywood, and figuring out how to make a cupboard fit into a corner that isn't quite square. It gets a bit messy down here sometimes, but that is just how it goes when you are building stuff by hand. My father started doing this kind of work, and now we just keep it going in the same spot. It isn't a fancy showroom with bright lights. Usually, someone just walks in with a rough drawing on a piece of paper and asks if we can make it. We say yes, then we get to work. Dealing with the traffic around Naranpura can be a headache when we're trying to deliver a finished wardrobe, but we manage. The neighbors at 109 Sardar Patel Colony are used to the sound of the saws by now. We don't spend much time on the computer or making things look pretty for a website. Our hands are usually covered in glue or polish anyway. If you need someone to look at your kitchen or fix a door that won't shut right, we are usually around the shop from morning until late evening.
