Khaakaa Designs

Khaakaa Designs is our small studio in Ahmedabad. We are located at 1 Mukhi Flats in the Paldi area. It is a quiet residential building, and we use one of the flats as our office. We like being in Paldi because it is a very established part of the city. Our workspace is quite simple. We have a few large tables where we spread out our drawings and a couple of computers. There is no big sign outside, so you have to look for the flat number. We aren't a large firm. It is just a few of us who handle everything. We do our own sketches, our own emails, and our own site visits. We don't have any secretaries or assistants. The atmosphere is very low-key. We often have music playing in the background while we work. We have been here for several years now. We know the neighbors and the local tea stall owner. We don't follow a strict corporate dress code. Usually, we are just in jeans and t-shirts. We don't spend time on marketing or making fancy presentations. If someone wants to see what we do, they just come over and we show them what is on our desks. It’s a very honest and direct way of running things. We just focus on the design work and try to do a decent job every day.
