Ambica Alum Industries

If you head down the Bavla Highway to the Kerala Gidc, you’ll find us at Plot No. 1305. This is where Ambica Alum Industries is located. We work mostly with alum, which means there’s a lot of heavy lifting and processing going on throughout the day. The GIDC is a pretty vast place, and our plot is just one of many, but we’ve made it our own over the years. It’s a hot environment, especially in the summer, with the highway sun beating down on the sheds. We spend a lot of time monitoring the chemical batches and making sure the packing is done right. The bags are heavy, and moving them around keeps everyone on their toes. It’s the kind of place where you wear work boots and don't worry about getting your clothes dirty. There isn't a lot of "office time" here; even the managers spend most of their time near the production line. We get a lot of trucks coming in and out from the Bavla Highway, so there’s always a bit of logistical chaos to manage. We just keep our heads down and get the production numbers met. It’s not a place for fancy talk or marketing. We just make the alum, stack the bags, and send them off. The routine is the same every day, from the morning shift start to the final truck leaving in the evening.
