S. R. Industries

S. R. Industries is located in Abhinav Arcade, specifically at numbers 36 and 52. We are right across from the Palm Hotel here in Kathwada. It’s an industrial area, so there are always trucks moving in and out of the streets. The arcade is usually busy with people from other workshops and offices. Our space isn't huge, but we have enough room for the machines and the materials we need to work with. Every morning, I unlock the shutters and start checking the schedule for the day. Sometimes the power goes out for a bit, which is just part of living in this part of town. We just sit outside and talk until it comes back on. The noise from the nearby factories is constant, but you get used to it after a few weeks. Opposite us, the hotel gets quite a lot of guests, so the road is never really empty. We’ve been here at Kathwada for a while and know most of the guys in the neighboring units. We don’t really have a big office staff, just a couple of us doing the actual work and handling the paperwork on a small desk in the corner. Lunch is usually brought from home and eaten while sitting on the packing crates. It’s a plain place, just walls and tools and the smell of grease. We keep our head down and get the orders done as they come in.
