Om Industries

Om Industries is located at Plot No. 77 on Road No. 7 inside the Gidc. It’s a straightforward industrial shed where we do a bit of everything related to manufacturing. We don't have any fancy signs or a big reception area with chairs. You just walk through the main shutter and you’re in the middle of it. There’s usually a radio playing somewhere in the background to keep the guys going while they work. We handle a lot of metal and various parts, so there’s always something heavy to be lifted or shifted around. Road No. 7 is a busy stretch, especially in the mornings when everyone is starting their shifts at the same time. We’ve had this spot for a long time, and the building shows its age a bit, but it serves its purpose for what we do. We don't spend money on things we don't need. Our focus is just the work on the floor. Whether it’s welding, cutting, or assembling something, we just get on with it and try to finish by five. Sometimes the weather makes it tough, especially when the monsoon rain hits the tin roof and you can’t hear yourself think, but we keep the production going regardless. Plot No. 77 is where we put in our hours. It’s just us, some basic tools, and the daily tasks that need finishing before the sun goes down. Nothing more, nothing less. It is a simple life here.
