Our place is on Road No. 15 in the GIDC area, specifically at Plot No. 543. If you know the industrial zone well, you will find us easily enough near the main junctions. We focus on fabrication work, which means there is usually a lot of welding and metal cutting going on throughout the day. The sound of grinders is pretty much the soundtrack to our lives here. We have got a decent-sized space for the heavy machinery, though it feels a bit cramped when a big delivery comes in. Most of the guys have been with us for years, so they know the machines inside and out. We don’t really bother with big advertisements; most people just hear about us through word of mouth or see the trucks going out. It is a practical environment where the floor is usually covered in metal shavings by lunch. We try to sweep up every evening, but it is a never-ending job. The office is just a small room partitioned off from the main shed so we can hear each other talk. It is not the quietest place to work, but it feels right for a fabrication shop. We take our breaks together and talk about the work or whatever else is happening in the estate. We just focus on getting the orders ready on time without any unnecessary delays. It is how things get done here.
