Koleshvari Steel Industries

If you come down Road No. 4 in the Gidc, you’ll find us at Plot No. 298. Koleshvari Steel Industries is the name on the front. It’s a sturdy building, which is good because steel work can be loud and heavy. We have a yard that fills up pretty quickly with materials. Some days it feels like there isn't enough space, but we always find a way to fit everything in. The floor is concrete and has some cracks here and there from years of moving things around. We don't worry too much about the aesthetics of the place. It's built for work. We have a few guys who have been here since the beginning. We eat lunch together in the shade when it gets too hot. There's a tea stall not far from our gate that makes the best chai around here. That's where we usually catch up on local news. The Gidc is a busy place, and Road No. 4 gets its fair share of traffic. We keep the gates open during the day so the trucks can get in and out without much trouble. Sometimes the rain gets under the roof during monsoon season, and we have to move things to the center of the room. It’s just one of those things you deal with. We like being in this part of the estate. It’s familiar and practical. We just keep our heads down and do the work. It keeps us busy.
