You can find Ashok Polymers at number 4, Shreenathji Estate in Kathwada. We are situated near G.V.M.M. and just behind the Devbhumi Estate. Ahmedabad has a lot of these industrial patches, and we fit right in. We work with polymers day in and day out. It's a lot of heavy lifting and keeping an eye on the production line. The estate can get pretty crowded with delivery vans, especially in the mornings. We’ve been here for a while and the neighbors all know us. Our office is just a small room at the front of the shed. We spend most of our time out where the actual work happens. It’s not a glamorous job. There’s a lot of heat and noise. We just focus on keeping the machines running and making sure the quality is decent. We aren't interested in fancy marketing. People usually find us through word of mouth or because they are also based in Kathwada. We have a small crew and we all pitch in. If a machine breaks down, we roll up our sleeves and try to fix it ourselves before calling a mechanic. It’s a very hands-on way of doing business. We appreciate the people who buy from us and we try to be fair with everyone who walks through the door. It’s a lot of hard work but it keeps us going. We’re just regular folks making a living in the industrial zone.
