Karnavatif Plasticss

We are over at 125 Maheshwari Industrial Estate in the Tavdipura area of Shahibag. It’s right near the old Maheshwari Mills. The estate is a bit of a maze if you don't know your way around. Karnavatif Plasticss is just one of many small units here. We work with plastic, so there is usually that distinct smell of melting pellets in the air when the machines are hot. The floor is stained, and the walls have posters from years ago that nobody has bothered to take down. We don't have a fancy office upstairs; our desk is just in a corner of the main floor so we can see what's happening. Shahibag can get very busy, and sometimes getting a delivery truck into the estate is a real nightmare. We have a few machines that run most of the day. They aren't the newest models, but they do the job. We don't do any big promotions or anything like that. We just talk to the regulars and handle whatever new people walk in. It’s a lot of manual work, moving bags of raw material and packing up the finished pieces. We take a break in the afternoon when it gets too hot, usually sitting near the entrance where there is a bit of a breeze. It’s just how we run things here. There are no corporate rules or uniforms, just the same group of people making things day after day in this dusty industrial corner.
