Karnavati Enterprises

Our shop is B-103 in the Shri Ghantakaran Mahavir Market, which is right by the New Cloth Market outside Raipur Gate. It gets very crowded around here, especially during the middle of the day. You have to watch where you walk because there are carts and people everywhere. Karnavati Enterprises has been in this unit for a while now. It’s a small space, so we have to stack things high to make everything fit. Sometimes it’s hard to find a specific item quickly, but we usually know which pile it’s in. The market has its own rhythm and we are just a small part of that. We drink a lot of tea while we wait for the next person to walk in. The noise from the street outside never really stops until late at night. We know the other shopkeepers nearby and we help each other out when someone needs a hand. It’s a busy life but it keeps us on our toes. We don't have fancy lights or a big display window. We just open the shutters in the morning and see what the day brings. Most of our time is spent talking to people or checking the stock levels. It’s a modest way to work, but it’s what we know how to do. We just keep our heads down and stay busy at B-103 until it's time to close up.
