Karim International

Karim International is located on the first floor of 194 Purasawalkam High Road. Being on the high road means there is never a quiet moment. The traffic outside is always moving, and we can hear the buses and bikes all day long. We have a sign on the door, but most people just know us from being here so long. The stairs leading up to our office are a bit narrow and old. Inside, the space is divided into a few small rooms. We have our computers and some printers that are usually humming. The light comes in through the front windows that look out over the street. Purasawalkam is a lively part of the city. There are plenty of shops around us selling clothes and food. We often go down to the street to grab a snack in the afternoon. Our work involves a lot of international coordination, so we are often looking at the clock. It is not a corporate environment. We wear casual clothes and talk loudly across the rooms. The shelves are full of old files and some samples of what we handle. We don't have any fancy mission statements on the wall. It is just a place where we come to work and earn a living. At the end of the day, we tidy up our desks and turn off the lights. The street is still busy when we leave.
