Kajal Textile

We spend most of our days here in Piplej, just behind Noor Masjid on Pirana Road. If you know this part of town, you know it gets quite dusty when the trucks go by, but it’s where we work. Kajal Textile isn't a massive flashy place. It is just a workspace where we handle the fabrics and keep things moving. Some mornings the tea stall nearby is the only thing open when we get in. We have been in this spot for a while now. The building isn't brand new, and sometimes the roof leaks a bit during the heavy rains, but we manage. People around here know us by name. We don't have a big front office with air conditioning or anything like that. It is mostly just stacks of material and the sound of the machines or people talking. Pirana Road is always busy, especially in the afternoons. Sometimes the power goes out for an hour, and we all just sit outside for a bit until it comes back. It is just a normal life running a textile business in this neighborhood. We don't do much fancy advertising. Most people just walk in because they saw the sign or heard about us from someone else in Piplej. It stays pretty crowded inside with all the stock we keep. We just try to get the orders done and go home to our families at the end of the day. It’s hard work, but we like the routine we have here.
