Over here at Kadia Furniture, we spend most of our time dealing with wood and sawdust. We are set up in Khokhra, right across from Gayatri Dairy. It’s a good landmark because everyone knows where the dairy is. If you're looking for us, just look for that. Our workshop isn't very large, but we make it work. Most days you’ll hear the sound of saws or hammers going if you walk past. It gets pretty hot in the summer, but we keep the fans going and just keep working through it. We aren't big on fancy talk or expensive signs. We just have our name on the front and we do our work. Khokhra is a busy neighborhood, so there’s always people walking by or stopping in to ask a quick question about a table or a chair. We've been in this spot for a while now and we know most of the people who live nearby. It’s a bit messy sometimes with all the wood scraps and tools lying around, but that’s how a furniture place usually looks when people are actually working. We don't have a big staff, just a few of us who know what we’re doing. We start our mornings with tea and then get straight to it. It’s a honest way to spend the day, and we like being part of the local scene here in this part of town.
