Jonson Lift&Ece

Down in Old Bapu Nagar, you will find us at 364/1922. This is Jonson Lift&Ece in Ahmedabad. It is a busy industrial and residential mix around here, so there is always the sound of traffic or someone working nearby. We spend our time dealing with lifts and electronic components. Our workspace is more of a workshop than a clean office. There are parts scattered around, some tools on the benches, and usually a few motors waiting to be looked at. It’s a bit messy, but we know where everything is. The walls are a bit stained from years of work, and the floor is concrete. We don’t have a fancy lobby for guests. If someone comes by, they usually just stand by the door and talk to us while we work. It gets very hot in Gujarat, especially in this part of town, so we have a couple of heavy-duty fans going all the time. We’ve been in this spot for years, and most of the people in the neighborhood know what we do. We handle repairs and maintenance, mostly. It is hard work and our hands are usually dirty by noon. We don’t do much advertising; people just know we are here at this address. We take our lunch breaks together and then get back to the machines. It’s a standard way to spend the day for us. There is always something that needs fixing.
