Jitendra & Co

Our place is E-2 in the Sahakari Lati Bazar No 1. It’s on Jagannathji Road, right in the Geeta Mandir area. Being in the Lati Bazar means we are surrounded by wood and timber all day long. Jitendra & Co has been around this market for a good while. The whole area has a specific smell of sawdust and old wood that you can’t miss. It’s a crowded market, and the roads inside can be a bit narrow for the bigger trucks. We spend a lot of our time checking the stacks and talking to the carpenters who come in to buy. The office is just a small corner with some old ledgers and a couple of fans to keep the heat away. We don’t really use a lot of technology here; it’s more about looking at the material and making a deal. Sometimes we sit on the wooden blocks outside to have our lunch. It’s a very traditional way of doing business, but it’s what we know. The Geeta Mandir temple is nearby, so we get to hear the morning sounds from there. It’s a lively place to work, even if it gets a bit messy with all the wood scraps. We don't have a website or anything like that. People just come to the bazar, walk down the rows, and find us at shop E-2. It’s a simple life, mostly just dealing with wood and the local folks who need it for their small workshops.
