We operate out of Shop No.1 in the Vasupujya Complex, which is centrally located in Mithakhali. We are quite close to Medisurge Hospital, and the Sampati Apartments are right beside us. It’s a busy little corner of the world. The hospital brings a lot of people to this street, so there is always movement outside our door. The shop itself is pretty simple. We have the counters set up near the front and the rest of the space is filled with whatever stock we managed to get in that week. It’s a bit of a squeeze sometimes, especially when we get a big shipment of larger items like mats or covers. We know the security guards and the other shopkeepers in the complex pretty well. We usually have the radio playing quietly in the background, mostly just to drown out some of the traffic noise. The afternoon sun doesn't hit us too badly because of how the building is positioned, which is a relief in the summer. We don't do any big advertising. Most people just see the sign when they are visiting the hospital or coming home to the apartments nearby. It’s a quiet way to spend the day, just helping folks who need something for their vehicle. We’ve been in this spot for a good while and it feels like home now. We usually close up once the street lights come on.
