You can find us right behind the Bank of Baroda at number 2. It’s a bit tucked away, but everyone around here knows the spot. Jayhind Foundry Group is mostly about the furnace and the molds. It gets very hot inside, especially during the middle of the day when we are doing the pours. It’s not a clean job; there’s sand and metal dust everywhere, and our clothes usually show it by the end of the shift. We’ve been doing this for a long time now. The guys on the floor have a lot of experience with the casting process. We don't have a receptionist or anything like that. If someone comes by, one of us just wipes our hands and goes to see what they need. It is a lot of heavy lifting and careful timing with the molten metal. We spend a lot of time maintaining the equipment because if a machine goes down, everything stops. The building itself is old, but it works for what we need. We don't bother with fancy brochures or anything. People know we are here and what we do. When the work is done, we clean up as best as we can and shut the gates. It’s basic, honest work that keeps us busy from morning until late evening most days of the week. There is always something that needs fixing or a new batch of molds to prepare for the next morning.
