Jay Mahalakshmi Furniture (Satellite)

You can find Jay Mahalakshmi Furniture at 13 Balaji Avenue, right across from the Swaminarayan Temple on Judges Bunglow Road. It’s a well-known part of Satellite, and the temple makes it very easy for people to find us. We’ve been here for a good number of years now. Our shop isn't a massive warehouse, but we fit a lot into the space we have. Most days are spent among the smell of wood polish and the sound of hammers. We make all sorts of furniture for the houses and offices around this area. Satellite has become quite a fancy place over time, but we’ve kept our shop simple and down-to-earth. We don’t use those big polished speeches to sell things. We just show people the wood and the work we’ve done. Sometimes the street gets very busy, especially when there is a festival at the temple, but we like the energy of the neighborhood. It’s a family business, so we take things personally and try to make sure everything is sturdy. We often have pieces in various stages of being built sitting around the shop. It’s a bit messy, but that’s how a real workshop looks. We aren't a big chain store, just local people making furniture for other local people. It’s been a long journey from when we first opened our doors here on Judges Bunglow Road. We just keep working hard and seeing where the day takes us next.
