Jay Furnitures/Jai Furnitures (Naroda Road)

You can find us over on Naroda Road, specifically at 30 A Ward, right opposite the S T Workshop in Patia. It’s a busy stretch of road, always full of buses and trucks because of the workshop across from us. Jay Furnitures has been operating from this spot for a long time. We aren’t one of those new shops with glass fronts and air conditioning. We have a more traditional setup where the work happens right there. Most of the time, the air is full of the smell of wood and varnish. We do a bit of everything when it comes to furniture. Some days we are putting together bed frames, other days it’s cupboards or simple stools. There is always something that needs to be sanded or joined. The traffic on Naroda Road can be a headache, but it brings a lot of people past our door. We’ve gotten used to the noise of the S T buses coming and going all day. It’s a humble place, and we like it that way. We don’t spend money on big ads; we just rely on the fact that we’ve been here for years and people know the name. It’s a family-run kind of thing, so we take our time with the work. We aren't in a massive rush, we just want to make sure the piece of furniture is right before it leaves the shop. It is just the way we have always done things here at Patia.
