Jay Chamunda Furniture

If you've spent any time around Isanpur Char Rasta, you probably know where Rameshwari Shopping Centre is. We are tucked in at shop number 4. Jay Chamunda Furniture has been part of this neighborhood for a long time. It’s mostly just us working with wood and trying to make things that people actually need for their homes. We aren't those big showrooms with bright lights and pushy people. It’s more of a place where you can see the sawdust on the floor. I spend most of my day measuring things or talking to people who drop by after work. Isanpur is a lively place, and being right by the Char Rasta means there is always someone passing by. Sometimes we are just fixing a chair or putting together a cupboard that someone asked for last week. It gets crowded in the shop with all the materials and half-finished pieces, but we know where everything is. We don't spend much time on the computer or doing fancy things. It’s mostly just hands-on work. If you walk past, you'll likely see us moving some heavy wood or sand down a surface. We’ve been here so long that we know most of the people who live in the nearby blocks. It’s a decent life, working with your hands and staying in one place. We just try to do the job right so people come back when they need something else for their house. It keeps us going day in and day out.
