If you go down to Latti Bazar in Jamalpur, you'll find us on Jagannathji Road. We are right across from the Adani C.N.G pump. There is usually sawdust all over the floor, no matter how much we sweep. The smell of fresh wood is the first thing you notice when you walk in. We have various types of timber stacked up against the back wall. Some pieces are for big projects and some are just scraps we haven't thrown out yet. We use old saws and planes that have been passed down. My hands have a lot of calluses from the work, but I don't mind. It's quiet work mostly, except when the big saws are cutting through a thick log. We don't have a fancy office. Just a small desk in the corner where we keep the notebooks and pencils. People from the neighborhood stop in to ask for small repairs or to see what we're building. It's a busy street, so there's always something going on outside the door. We've been in Zone 4 for quite a while now. We just like working with our hands and making things that last. It isn't a factory line. Each piece takes as long as it takes. That’s just how we do things here at the shop. Sometimes we run out of space when a lot of wood comes in at once, so we have to stack it out on the sidewalk for a bit.
