Jain Radio House

Our shop is Jain Radio House, and we are located in Chotalals Chawl, near Adinath Nagar on Odhav Road. If you are familiar with the Odhav area, you know it’s a bit more industrial and hardworking than other parts of the city. We’ve been here for quite some time, and the shop shows its age. We have a lot of old equipment and radios sitting around. Even though things have changed with technology, we still get people coming in for all sorts of audio stuff. The building is simple and doesn’t have the flashy windows you see in the newer malls. We have a heavy metal shutter that we pull up every morning. Inside, it smells a bit like old dust and soldering wire. Odhav Road is always busy with trucks and commuters, so there is a lot of noise and dust coming in from the street. We have a small table where we do most of our work. People from the nearby chawls and houses know us well. We don’t have fancy displays, just shelves filled with speakers, wires, and parts we’ve collected over the years. Sometimes the power goes out in the afternoon, and we just sit outside on a stool until it comes back on. It’s a very local way of doing things. We just try to fix what we can and sell things that people actually need for their homes. It’s a quiet life in a loud part of town, and we like it that way.
