You can find us at 12-A Hill-Darshan, which is right across from Sal Hospital in Ahmedabad. It is a very busy area because of the hospital traffic, so there is always something going on outside our windows. The office itself is part of a regular building and we have been here for a good while now. At Jacobs Engineering India, the day usually starts around nine when everyone trickles in from the Gujarat traffic. We spend most of our hours looking at technical plans and working through various project requirements. It’s an honest living and we try to keep things organized despite how much paperwork builds up on the desks. We have a few local spots nearby where we go to grab a quick snack or a cold drink when it gets too hot in the afternoon. The team here is a mix of older guys who have been doing this forever and some younger staff who are good with the newer software. We don't really have a hierarchy that feels stiff or formal. If someone has a question about a calculation, they just walk over and ask. Being near Sal Hospital makes it easy for people to give directions to our place. We just tell them to look for the hospital and then find the Hill-Darshan building. It’s a straightforward way of working and we like that the location is so well-known in this part of town.
