J M Gems Llp is tucked away in the Haripura area of Surat. Specifically, we are at 104, House Number 5/1171 and those other numbers in the New DTC building in Hatfalia. If you know Surat, you know how busy these streets get with all the diamond and gem trade going on. Our spot isn't anything grand. It’s a place where we sit and look at stones most of the day. The address is a bit of a mouthful when you have to write it out on a package, but it's home to us. Being in the 395001 area means there is always noise outside from the bikes and people moving around. We’ve got a few desks and the usual equipment you'd expect for a gem business. Some days are slower than others. We might spend hours just sorting through things or talking to other folks in the trade. It's not like the movies; it's mostly just regular work and keeping track of inventory. The light in the office is okay for what we do. We’ve been here in Haripura for a while now and we know the neighbors pretty well. Surat is a big city but this little corner feels quite familiar. We just focus on the gems and getting through the day's tasks without too much fuss. It's just us at J M Gems, doing what we do in Hatfalia. We try to keep things organized but sometimes the desk gets buried under paperwork and small packages waiting to go out.
