Shashank Industries

Shashank Industries is situated at 24/25 in the Fariyawala Estate. We are right opposite the road that leads to the Avatar Hotel, just off the Narol Isanpur Highway. Because we are so close to the highway, there is a constant hum of traffic and the air is often thick with the smell of diesel from the passing trucks. Our unit is a busy place where we handle a lot of industrial tasks. The floors are concrete and have their share of cracks and stains from years of use. We have big doors that stay open most of the day to let the air circulate, even though it brings in the noise. We move boxes and materials around using hand carts, and there’s usually a bit of a scramble when a delivery truck arrives. It’s an industrial estate, so nobody is worried about looking polished. We wear work clothes that get dirty fast and we focus on getting the orders ready on time. The office is just a small partitioned area in the corner where we keep the bills and the phone. We don't spend much time sitting down; there is always something that needs to be moved or a machine that needs a look. We’ve been in this estate for a good bit now and we know the rhythms of the highway and the hotel traffic across the way.
