About Interior Art – Architect, Interior & Structural Design in Ahmedabad
We are over at Pratibha Complex, room 214. It’s right opposite the Gandhigram Railway Station on Ashram Road. Being behind Sakar I makes it a bit quieter than the main road, which is nice when we’re trying to concentrate. Interior Art is a small setup. We don't have a lot of staff, so we end up doing a bit of everything ourselves. One day I might be measuring a bathroom, and the next I’m at the timber market arguing about prices. Ashram Road is such a central part of Ahmedabad, so we get people from all over coming in. We don't have a scripted way of talking to people. We just sit down and listen to what they need for their home or office. A lot of the time, it's about making a small space work better. We’ve seen all sorts of buildings, from the old ones near the station to the new ones popping up further out. We try to be honest about timelines because we know how annoying it is when a house isn't ready. Things go wrong sometimes—a worker gets sick or a delivery is late—but we try to fix it without making a big deal out of it. We like what we do, even when it’s stressful. It’s just a normal business on a busy street, trying to do decent work for the folks around here.
