India Gypsum Ltd (Saint Gobain Group)

We’re over in Paldi, tucked away in the Sopan Flat building. It’s right behind the Suvidha Complex, which most people in Ahmedabad know pretty well. It’s a handy location because it’s easy to get to, but it’s not right on the noisy main road. We’ve been part of the Saint Gobain Group for a while, but our office here feels very local. We deal with gypsum products and spend most of our time on the phone or working through stacks of paperwork. The office isn't very large, just a few rooms where we keep our records and meet with people occasionally. Paldi is a nice area with a lot of history, and we like being based here. There are plenty of places to grab a chai nearby, which is always a plus. Our day-to-day is mostly just keeping things moving. We aren't a big flashy company with a lot of marketing; we just focus on the task at hand. Sometimes the lift in the building acts up, so we end up taking the stairs. It keeps us moving, I guess. We have a small team here, and everyone knows what they need to do. We don’t go in for big meetings or anything like that. We just get in, do the work, and head home. It’s a simple way of doing things, and it works for us. The afternoon sun hits the windows, so we keep the curtains drawn most of the time.
