Jay Ambe Hardware

Our hardware shop is tucked into Shop Number 16 at the City Centre. It is right near the Idgah Circle on Prem Darwaja Road. If you know the area, you know how crowded it gets, especially near the circle. There is always a lot of honking and people rushing by the front door. We have shelves full of nuts, bolts, tools, and all sorts of bits and pieces people need for small repairs. It is a small shop, so things are stacked pretty high towards the ceiling. Sometimes it takes us a minute to find exactly what a customer is looking for, but we usually get there in the end. The dust from the road settles on everything, so we spend a lot of time wiping down the glass counters. We aren't a big chain store with bright lights and matching uniforms. It is just a local hardware spot where you can get a single screw or a whole box if you really need it. Most of our customers are from the neighborhood or workmen passing through for a quick part. We open early and stay until the evening traffic starts to thin out a bit. Dealing with hardware is heavy work sometimes, and our hands are usually a bit dirty. That is just part of the job. We do not have a website or anything like that, just the shop and our regulars. It is a bit chaotic inside, but we know where everything is.
