Home Town

Our Home Town place is inside the Acropolis Mall, specifically in Block C. You can find us near Thaltej Char Rasta, right off the S.G. Highway. Being on the Sarkhej Gandhinagar Highway means there are always cars and trucks buzzing by outside. Inside the mall, it’s a different world. We have a lot of space for furniture and home things. It takes a long time to walk from one end of the shop to the other. We spend our mornings moving sofas around or putting together a new dining table that just arrived. Sometimes the instructions for the furniture are a bit confusing, even for us who do it all the time. The lighting in the mall is very bright, so everything stands out. People come in to sit on the beds or test how soft the chairs are. We have to keep straightening the pillows because kids like to jump on things when their parents aren't looking. Working in a mall means we follow mall hours, so we are here quite late every day. The loading area in the basement is where the big trucks bring in the wardrobes and kitchen sets. It’s a lot of lifting and moving. We try to keep the displays looking okay, but with so many people walking through, things get shifted around. It’s a busy life here in Thaltej, and we are just one part of this big building. We see a lot of new families looking to set up their first homes and they spend a long time picking out just the right table.
