Home Decore/Design Shop (Ashram Road)

You can find us at Vikram Chambers on Ashram Road. We actually take up a few of the units there, specifically G/3, 4, and 5. Having those connected spaces helps us keep a decent amount of home decor items on display without everything feeling too cramped. Ashram Road is always moving, so there is always a bit of noise from the cars and rickshaws outside our front door. We spend our time arranging the displays and talking to folks who are trying to make their apartments look a bit nicer. We don't have a design team with fancy degrees; we just know what looks okay and what people in the neighborhood usually like. Sometimes we get new stock in and have to move everything around to make it fit. It’s a lot of physical work, lifting boxes and unpacking crates. The shop is bright during the day because of the big windows, which is nice for seeing the colors of the fabrics and materials we carry. We aren't trying to be the biggest shop in the city. We just want to be the place where you can find a decent lamp or some wallpaper without a lot of fuss. We keep the doors open and wait for people to come in. If someone needs help, we give it, but mostly we let people walk around and look at things at their own pace. It’s a relaxed atmosphere for a busy street.
