We are located at Hofmann Engg. & Mktg. Pvt. Ltd., specifically in the Wear Resistant Technology Division at 307, Shubham Complex. This is right at the Sunrise Park corner in Vastrapur. It’s a very busy corner. You can see the traffic lights from our window, and people are always rushing across the street to get to the shops. The complex itself has a lot of different businesses and offices inside. We are on the third floor. Usually, the stairs are the faster way up because the lift takes forever to arrive and always seems to be on the wrong floor when you need it. Our office has a lot of metal samples sitting on the shelves and some old blueprints rolled up in the corner gathering dust. There is a big table in the middle where we sort through papers. The carpet is a dark blue and shows every bit of lint that falls. A small window looks out over the park, which is nice when the trees are green and the weather is clear. Sometimes the smell of street food wafts up from the vendors downstairs around lunchtime. It’s a practical workspace, nothing fancy or overdone. Most of our time is spent on the phone or typing away at our desks. The air conditioner is a bit loud, so speaking up is sometimes necessary. It’s been our base for quite a while now. We’ve gotten used to the rhythm of the Vastrapur area.
