You can find us at 'Kanuj', which is house number two in the Municipal Staff Housing Society. We are tucked right behind St. Xavier's Loyola High School in Memnagar. It’s a familiar spot for many people in this part of the city. The office isn't very large, but it’s where Hiren and the rest of the associates spend most of their waking hours. We have rows of desks and plenty of shelves for all the old project files we’ve accumulated. The atmosphere is usually pretty quiet, except for the sound of someone typing or the occasional phone call. We don't really do the whole corporate image thing. The furniture is old but sturdy, and the walls are mostly covered with maps or technical drawings. Being near the school means we hear the bells and the kids sometimes, which reminds us of the time passing. We start our day early, usually getting through the paperwork before the real design work begins. It involves a lot of checking and re-checking of numbers. We aren't trying to impress anyone with a fancy lobby; we just want to get the drawings right so the construction goes smoothly. Lunch is usually a shared affair in the small break area. It’s a simple setup that has worked for us for years. We’ve seen Memnagar grow and change around us, but our routine at Kanuj stays pretty much the same.
