Hindustan Zinc Limited

Our office is tucked away in the Asopalav Apartments in Naranpura, right near the old telephone exchange. It’s an interesting place to work because it feels more like a home than a corporate building. We are located at M-38/453. The Ahmedabad heat can be quite something in the summer, so we keep the fans going all day. There’s a specific way the light comes through the windows in the afternoon that makes the office feel warm. We handle various tasks for Hindustan Zinc Limited from this small branch. There are about four of us usually in here, tapping away at keyboards or sorting through mail. The stairs up to the office are a bit steep, but we’re used to them. We often see the same people coming and going from the other units in the building. It’s not a flashy setup. We have some metal cupboards for all the documents and a few chairs that have been here since we opened this location. Lunch is usually brought from home and eaten at the main table. Sometimes we walk down the street to grab a snack if we're working late. It’s a practical space. We don't spend much on decorations because we’re mostly focused on the logs and reports. The telephone exchange nearby is a good landmark if people are trying to find us. It’s a steady environment where we just go about our business quietly.
