The Ambica Vijay Brush Works

Our shop is right in the middle of the Revdi Bazar crowd at Haribhai Market. It is No. 47, near the Cross Lane by Relief Road. If you know this area, you know how packed it gets. There are people and carts everywhere. We have been making and selling brushes here for a long time. We have all kinds of brushes, from big ones for cleaning floors to tiny ones for painting. The shop is small and the walls are covered with different types of bristles and handles. It smells like wood and fiber inside. We do not have a lot of space, so we have to stack things high. Most of our customers are locals who have been coming to us for years. We do not use a computer to track what we sell. We just write it down in a notebook. It is a bit old-fashioned, but it works for us. The noise from Relief Road is always there in the background. Sometimes it is hard to hear a customer over the honking outside. We just keep our heads down and do the work. My grandfather started this business, and we have not changed much since then. We do not need fancy displays. People come here because they know we have what they need. It is a busy life but we are used to the rhythm of the market. We just open up, serve the people, and close when the sun goes down.
