Hari Transport (Rakhial)

We are located in the Jay Jayant Estate, which is right across from Keval Kanta on the Gujarat Bottling Road. If you are looking for us, you just look for the trucks parked out front. Rakhial is an industrial kind of place, so there is always the sound of machinery or vehicles moving around. Our office in unit 14 is where we handle the scheduling and talk to the drivers. It’s a practical space, mostly just a place to sit down, have some water, and sort out where the next load is going. We deal with transport, so we spend a lot of time looking at maps and talking on the phone to see if a truck has reached its destination yet. The dusty air of the industrial estate is something you just get used to after a few days. We don't have a big fancy lobby or anything like that. It’s just us, some chairs, and a lot of clipboards. Most of the time, the drivers are coming in to hand over their slips or get their next assignment. It’s a lot of waiting for things to be loaded and then hoping the traffic isn't too bad on the highway. We’ve been in this estate for a bit now and know most of the other guys working around here. It’s a straightforward life, moving things from one point to another and making sure the engines are running okay. It is not a glamorous job, but it is what we do.
