Navdeep Industries

We are based at Plot No. 125 in the Gidc. Navdeep Industries isn't a very large place, but we make the most of the space we have. It’s mostly just iron and machinery inside. We’ve got a small crew of workers who have been with us through thick and thin. Every morning starts with a cup of tea and a look at the production schedule. We don't use any fancy software for that; it's usually just written on a chalkboard or a piece of paper. The floor is stained with oil and grease, which is pretty standard for what we do. We produce parts and components that get sent out all over. The noise can get a bit much during the middle of the day when everyone is working at once. We don't have a fancy lobby for visitors. If you come to see us, you’ll probably find us on the shop floor with our sleeves rolled up. It’s a straightforward business. We try to keep the machines in good shape so they don't break down at the wrong time. Sometimes things go wrong, and we have to spend the night fixing a motor or a belt. That’s just how it goes. We don't make any big promises, we just do the work that’s in front of us. Plot No. 125 is a busy little corner of the Gidc. When the heavy presses are running, you can feel the vibration in the floor. It's a loud, busy environment.
