If you are looking for Mercury Wire Industries, we are located at Plot No. 110 in the GIDC. This is a real industrial spot, so don't expect any fancy landscaping or shiny glass buildings. We deal with wires all day long. Some are thin like hair and others are thick and heavy. The machines that pull and coat the wire make a constant rhythm that you can feel in the floor. It’s a bit dusty and the air smells like warm metal most of the time. We have a small team here, and everyone knows their job. We don’t have many meetings; we just talk over the noise of the machines if something needs fixing. The GIDC can be a tough place to work in when it’s hot, but we have some fans going to keep the air moving. We’ve had some of the same machines for a long time, and we know exactly how they sound when they are running right. Most of us live in the nearby towns and commute in every morning. We just focus on getting the orders out on time. There’s no big secret to what we do; it’s just about keeping the wire moving and making sure it doesn't tangle up on the spools. It’s simple work in a way, but it keeps us on our toes. We just try to stay busy and do what we know how to do best. That is all there is to it.
