Dukes Choice Garments

Our shop is at C/7 Surya Complex on Gurukul Road. It’s a well-known spot in the area, and we’ve been part of the landscape at Dukes Choice Garments for a long time. The complex is always busy with people coming in and out of the different units. Our space isn't huge, but it fits everything we need—the cutting tables, the sewing setups, and a small area for keeping the finished garments. We don't put on airs here. We’re just local people making clothes for other people to wear. Gurukul Road has its own rhythm, and we’ve become used to the noise and the flow of traffic outside our door. Inside, we keep our heads down and focus on the work. We don’t have a mission statement on the wall. Instead, we have a calendar with deadlines marked in red ink. Sometimes we run out of a specific thread color and have to go hunting for it, or a customer changes their mind about a detail at the last minute. We just adapt and keep the machines running. We don’t spend time on fancy presentations. We’d rather spend that time making sure the stitching is solid and the fit is right. It’s a basic, honest way to make a living, and we’re happy to be doing it right here in the complex. That is the long and short of it.
