Gurukrupa Furniture (Naroda)

We are over in Naroda, at J D Chambers, right across from the Kutch Kadwapatel Samajwadi. Being next to the J R Amin petrol pump makes it easy for people to find us. Gurukrupa Furniture has been operating from this spot for a while. We have a variety of desks, chairs, and cabinets squeezed into the space. It’s not a huge showroom, so things are a bit packed together. You might have to move a chair to see the table behind it. We spend most of our time showing people the difference between various types of wood and laminates. It’s mostly families from around Naroda who come in looking to finish up a spare room or replace an old cupboard. Sometimes we have to order things in if we don’t have the right color in stock, which can take a few days. The guys who help with the assembly are usually out on calls, so the shop can feel quiet in the afternoons. We don't do much advertising, just have the sign out front and rely on people passing by. It’s a straightforward business. We try to keep the prices fair because we know most of the folks living around here. It gets dusty with all the traffic on the main road, so we are always cleaning the glass and the wood surfaces. Just a normal furniture store doing its thing every day except Sundays.
