Gunjan Paints Limited

Up here on the 81st unit of Newyork Tower A, things look a bit different than they do on the ground. We are right near the Thaltej Cross Roads, so we can see the traffic piling up on the Gandhinagar Highway from our window. It’s a bit of a commute for some of us, but we’ve gotten used to the highway life. The office is usually full of color charts and small tins of paint samples. We spend a lot of time on the phone talking to people about shades and finishes. It’s not always quiet; there’s usually someone arguing about a delivery time or a machine humming in the background. We have a small pantry where the coffee is usually burnt, but we drink it anyway because the days get long. The walls here are painted with a few different testers just to see how the light hits them during the day. It’s a practical space. We don’t really do the whole corporate image thing; we’d rather just talk about paint and get the orders out to the sites. Sometimes we stay late when a big project is moving, and the view of the highway lights is actually pretty nice then. We’ve been at this for a while and the rhythm of the place feels steady. It’s just a regular office doing regular work, nothing too exciting but it keeps us busy enough.
