We’re located over at 20/5 in the Ch Type area of Sector 30 in Gandhinagar. It’s one of those government-style buildings that you see all over this city. We work on urban development, which basically means we spend our days looking at maps and planning out how the city is going to grow. It’s not as exciting as it sounds sometimes, because there is a whole lot of paperwork involved. We deal with everything from water lines to how the roads are laid out in the newer sections. Our office in Sector 30 is where most of the planning happens. It’s a lot of people sitting around desks with large rolls of paper and computers. We have been here for a long time, and we've seen Gandhinagar change quite a bit over the years. We aren't a private firm, so we don't do much in the way of advertising. We just get our projects from the state and try to get them finished. It’s a lot of coordinating between different departments, which can take a while. The office itself is pretty plain, just the essentials. We have a small tea stall nearby where we usually go for breaks. It’s a steady job and we try to do it right. We focus on making the urban areas work better for everyone who lives there. It’s just what we do every day. The atmosphere here is quiet, mostly just the sound of pens on paper and a few quiet conversations.
