Our branch here is in the Jaltarang SBI Society, which is right by the Jaltarang bus stop on Vejalpur Road. If you take the bus, you can’t miss it. It’s a convenient spot for our staff because the transport links are so good. Gujarat Sidhee Cement Ltd has been using this office to manage the sales and accounts for this part of Ahmedabad. It’s a residential area originally, so the office has a bit of a homey feel to it, even though it’s full of office equipment. We have a small yard where we sometimes park the bikes. Inside, it’s usually quite loud with two or three people talking at once. We don’t have a lot of space, so things can get a bit cluttered with samples and files. We spend our days tracking orders and making sure the billing is correct. The neighbors are mostly families, so we try to keep things relatively quiet in the mornings. There is a local tea stall just a few steps away where we go when the office feels too small. We don't have any big corporate goals we talk about; we just want to get through the day's tasks without any major mistakes. Dealing with the paperwork for cement sales involves a lot of small details that people don't see. We just keep our heads down and get it done, making sure the people who need cement get it on time.
