Gujarat Plywood/Shree Rupen Wood Works (Ctm)

You will find us at 19 Bhagyodayanagar, right on Ctm Road. We are near the AMTS workshop and just opposite the Lal Bunglow. If you know the CTM area, you know how busy the road stays. There are buses and trucks rumbling past all day long. The shop is filled with stacks of plywood and we also do wood works under the Shree Rupen name. It is heavy, physical work. We spend a lot of our time hauling sheets of wood from the trucks and leaning them against the walls. The smell of sawdust and adhesive is always in the air. We don’t have a fancy front office or anything like that. It is mostly just us in our work clothes, measuring things out and getting the cutting done. The AMTS workshop nearby means there is always a lot of mechanical noise too. We just put our heads down and get on with it. When it rains, the road out front gets pretty muddy, which makes moving the wood even more of a struggle. We drink a lot of tea from the stall down the street just to keep going. It is a basic setup where we focus on the task at hand. We’ve been here at this spot for a good while now and we know the rhythms of the street. It’s just a regular workshop doing regular work for people who need wood.
