We are working alongside Arvind Kumar Jha on the mineral development side of things. It is a lot of coordination and keeping track of where everything is supposed to go. Mining isn't a clean job, and even in the office, you feel the weight of it. We don't have a permanent street address listed for this specific branch right now, but we are centered around where Arvind manages the operations. Every day starts early because that's when the most gets done before the heat becomes too much to handle. We have a few desks, some old computers, and a lot of maps pinned to the walls. It isn't the kind of place where people wear suits. We mostly wear stuff that can handle a bit of dirt. There are always phone calls coming in from the sites, and someone is usually shouting over the noise of a generator or a truck in the background. We eat lunch together when we can, usually just something simple brought from home. It's a straightforward way of working. No one here is trying to impress anybody; we just want to make sure the minerals are moving and the workers are safe. The paperwork can be a headache, but it’s part of the life. We've been at this for a long time, and you get used to the way things are done around here. It's just hard work, long days, and plain talk.
