Gujarat Energy Transmission Corporation Ltd(Getco)

Our office is tucked away in the Memnagar area of Ahmedabad. It’s a busy part of town, so there is always a lot of activity outside our doors. Gujarat Energy Transmission Corporation Ltd, or Getco as most people call it, operates from here. It’s a simple place where the focus is on the day-to-day operations of the energy network. We don’t have any of those fancy modern lounges or glass walls you see in new office buildings. It’s a more traditional setup with regular desks and plenty of paperwork. Memnagar has grown a lot, and we’ve seen more shops and apartments pop up all around us. The traffic can be a bit of a headache during rush hour, but we’re used to it by now. We usually start the day with some tea and a quick look at the overnight reports. There’s always something to do, whether it’s coordinating with field crews or just keeping the internal logs updated. We aren't here to sell anything or impress people with big speeches. We just handle the transmission side of things for the city. It’s a lot of responsibility, but we take it one day at a time. The office has a bit of a worn-in feel, which we actually like. It feels like a place where real work happens. We stay busy, we stay local, and we just keep the power moving through Memnagar. It isn't a glamorous job, but it is an important one for the neighborhood.
